Kellie Martin is an American film, television as well as stage actor. Her most famous role is Christy Huddleston (Christy) in the period drama Christy'; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) in Life Goes On; and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Other notable roles include the title role of the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department-store buyer and a kindergarten teacher, Martin began her acting career at the young age of seven years old when her aunt who worked as the nanny of Michael Landon's children helped her land her a role in the 1982 series 'Father Murphy'. Following the time of her Yale University graduation, she focused on acting. She was able to get major roles on both cinema and television. Apart from being an actor, Martin is a skilled photographer as well as a ballet dancer. Being a mom to two kids, she has become the National spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has been spreading the word about this disease ever since her sister's death from the illness at age 19.
